We had a reservation for dinner this evening and were visiting from Taiwan.From the warm introduction and thoughtful preparation to the entire dining experience, everything was truly enjoyable. There was a small issue during our meal due to the surroundings, but the staff responded quickly and handled it very professionally, which we really appreciated.A special thank you to the staff member who took care of us throughout the evening. Your attentive and thoughtful service made our experience even better.Thank you for such a lovely evening. We truly enjoyed our time here and would be happy to visit again!

My brother and I chose to eat at Lan Ong tonight after researching what was near by us in the pouring Hanoi rain, how lucky we were! Everything from the moment we walked in surpassed expectation, service was great. The food was excellent, the pork ribs, scallops, beef with fresh green peppercorns on the stem (highlight). 10/10. Thank for a really great dining experience. Highly, recommend.

We had a lovely meal here. Despite the prices being a little higher than a lot of the street food/low key spots in the area, the food was very delicious, and the dining experience was relaxing and comfortable. We had a large array of starters and mains, had incredibly tender meat and fresh ingredients. The service from Nami was great and you can tell everyone in the restaurant really cares about the quality of the experience.

The owner creates a lovely atmosphere; it's very friendly.The dishes are delicious, with well-balanced flavors—kudos to the chef! It's mainly a tourist clientele, but I highly recommend it.

I really wanted to love this place. I booked a table for Friday night for dinner.The food was good but a bit unusual. The seafood curry was more like a seafood soup served with loads of bread. The BBQ ribs were served with salad and buns which were quite sweet. When i asked for some fries/potatoes the server said they don't have that at all.The service was okay, but we were left with a table full of glasses for a long time, it became annoying.It's not a bad restaurant. It's super cute, has a nice design and it's in a great location, it just wasn't for me, I guess.

Amazing food, amazing service. Cant recommend this place enough. Each dish is well thought out and has its own vietnamese twist. The space / ambience is perfect and the staff are helpful and attentive - especially Peony who helped us order a great flight of dishes. Highly recommend the pork ribs.

⚠️I would not recommend this restaurant to Asians, including Japanese people.I was a Japanese woman dining alone, and I was very disappointed that I did not receive the kind service described in other reviews. I also didn't find the food particularly tasty.First, I tried to order by making eye contact with the staff and raising my hand, but even though they seemed to recognize me, they didn't come over for a long time. Finally, I was able to order when a staff member came near me to assist another customer.I ordered duck pho, but it took about 20 minutes to be served. Furthermore, the dish was lukewarm, and the noodles were extremely soft, almost falling apart before I could even chew them. I understand that pho noodles are generally soft, but these were far too soft for my taste.Also, the staff actively engaged with other Caucasian customers, asking for their opinions on the food. However, they never spoke to me in this way, and their service was purely businesslike throughout.The most disappointing aspect was the payment process. More than five minutes passed after I asked for the bill, and I still hadn't received it. Meanwhile, the staff continued taking photos with other Caucasian customers. I asked another staff member for the bill, but even then, there was no smile, and I never felt welcomed.Of course, I can't definitively conclude that this was due to my race or nationality. However, while the staff actively engaged with the Caucasian customers and even took photos with them, I felt completely ignored regarding ordering, the food, and the bill. I felt I received extremely discriminatory treatment.Up until now in Vietnam, I've had many wonderful experiences, receiving incredibly kind and friendly treatment from the locals. That's why this final treatment is truly sad and disappointing.I visited this restaurant with high expectations because of its high ratings, but based on this experience, I don't want to return.I hope that other Asians reading this review will find my experience helpful as a point of reference.Furthermore, I hope that restaurants will provide service that makes all customers feel equally welcome, regardless of nationality or race.It was truly disappointing, especially since I was really looking forward to the meal.⚠️ I would not recommend this restaurant to Asian customers, including Japanese travelers.I visited this restaurant alone as a Japanese woman. However, seeing the way white customers were treated while I was repeatedly ignored made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome as an Asian customer.I have had many wonderful experiences in Vietnam, and Vietnamese people I have met during this trip have generally been incredibly kind and friendly. That is why this experience was particularly upsetting and disappointing.I came here because the restaurant had such good reviews and I had high expectations. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not return.If you are an Asian traveler considering this restaurant, I hope you will take my experience into consideration.I sincerely hope the restaurant will provide staff training so that every customer, regardless of nationality or race, feels equally welcomed and respected.Very disappointing experience.
